Questions? We Got Answers...
Q: Is this your first time renting an RV? A: No problem! Each Cliff is designed specifically for first-timers. Our Cliff's Notes video series covers everything specific to each Cliff, and we'll do a thorough walkthrough at pickup. You'll feel confident before you leave.
Q: What if something breaks or goes wrong? A: Outdoorsy provides 24/7 roadside assistance and insurance coverage. Plus, you can always call or text us directly. We're here to help!
Q: How far can we take Cliff? A: Each Cliff can go anywhere in the continental US that's accessible by road. Most renters explore California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Just let us know your plans!
Q: Do you allow pets? A: We absolutely love animals—truly! But we've made the difficult decision not to allow pets in either Cliff. We know your furry family members are important to you, and we wish we could accommodate them! If you're looking for pet-friendly RV rentals in San Diego County, we're happy to point you toward other great options on Outdoorsy that welcome pets.
Q: What about mileage? A: Each Cliff comes with a generous 200 miles per day included in your rental rate. That's more than enough for most California adventures! Additional miles beyond your daily allowance are charged at just $0.35 per mile—one of the most competitive rates around. How it works: On a 3-night rental, you get 800 miles included (4 days x 200 miles). If you drive 1,000 miles total, you'd only pay $70 for the extra 200 miles ($0.35 x 200 = $70).
Q: What about generator hours? A: Cliff OG includes 5 hours of generator use per day—more than most RV rentals! Thanks to Cliff Lite's solar power system, most trips need little to no generator time at all! Solar keeps your devices charged, the fridge running, and the lights on through most of your adventure. For those moments when you need extra juice — running the A/C while boondocking or a cloudy stretch on the road — Cliff Lite includes 2 hours of generator use per day as a backup. Additional hours beyond your daily allowance are charged at $3.00 per hour. Most guests rarely touch it! Pro Tip: When camping at sites with electrical hookups (30-amp connection), you'll likely never need the generator at all.
Q: Can you deliver Cliff to us? A: We may be able to accommodate delivery and set up near San Diego as an add-on. Contact us for availability and pricing!
Q: What's your cancellation policy? A: We follow Outdoorsy's flexible cancellation policy. Check our listing for full details.
Q: Do we need special insurance or a special license? A: No special license needed—just a valid driver's license. Insurance is included through Outdoorsy's comprehensive coverage.
